How to backup/export a private key?
Remember: not your keys — not your crypto. Non-custodial wallets like Token Pocket don't store your private keys and passwords on their servers and can’t help restore them. Keeping your funds safe is fully your responsibility. You can forget your password, break/lose your device, but if you have a private key from your account, you can get access to your funds. It is a good practice to have a few copies of a private key in different secure places.
Token Pocket (desktop):
- 1.
- 2.Click “Export”;
- 3.Type in password;
- 4.Back up the revealed private key.
Token Pocket (mobile):
- 1.Open EOS account;
- 2.
- 3.
- 4.Type in password;
- 5.Back up the revealed private key. You can also, switch it to QR-code and scan it on the target device, so it would be instantly imported there.
